Aetn has agreed to buy the Greenwood apartments in Greenwood, Colo., the Denver Post reported Friday.
The move comes after months of pressure from residents who say the company has not done enough to make greenwood apartments a reality, The Denver Post said.
Aetns board voted in April to purchase the properties, which were being built at the time of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, for $10.7 million.
The Greenwood site is in Denver’s northwest.
The apartments were constructed in 1871 and are among the oldest residential buildings in the United States, according to the Colorado Department of Parks and Recreation.
A total of 4,723 residents live in the apartments.
