Roma fans chanted “Marco Varel” and “I love him” as Roma came from behind to beat Juventus in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on Sunday.

Juventus had to defend their 2-1 aggregate lead after Marco Vassallo’s penalty struck the top corner of the net.

The visitors’ fans then chanted “We want Varels”.

“We didn’t have a problem.

We were all calm and focused,” Roma coach Massimiliano Allegri said after the match.”

We know that if we lose this match we will be out of the quarter-finals.

We can win the Europa League.”

Juventus were unable to keep the pressure off the Roma defence, as they were able to move a point clear of fourth-placed Lazio in the race for the last-16 tie.
